Alamance Cares is a division of Cone Health at Alamance Regional Medical Center. Alamance Cares works closely with another ARMC agency, HomeCare Providers, to provide services to people living with HIV/AIDS. Alamance Cares is a United Way affiliate.

Our staff takes pride in providing confidential, non-judgmental, and ethical treatment for anyone who seeks our services.

All of Alamance Cares’ counselors are certified by the State of North Carolina in HIV Counseling and Referral and have been trained extensively on HIV testing. Be assured, respect for our clients and proper testing procedures is our top priority.

Michelle D. White, RN, MSN – Agency Director  In the past 15 years, Michelle has held many roles in the nursing field. Currently, she is the director of Alamance Cares and affiliated agency HomeCare Providers, an instructor in the nursing programs at Alamance Community College and University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill (public health division), a leader on the Alamance County HIV/AIDS strategic plan team, and a member of numerous advisory committees. Her previous work experiences include consulting on program development and adherence at the Eastern Triad HIV Consortium and providing direct nursing care at UNC Hospitals. Michelle received her nursing degrees from University of North Carolina-Greensboro. In her free time, Michelle enjoys playing with her son, renovating houses, and being outdoors.
Jason Greene, MPH – Program Director Jason began working for Alamance Cares at the end of November 2015. He spends his time in the community doing outreach, education, and testing. He also works to build strong relationships within the Alamance, Rockingham, and Caswell County communities, while raising awareness about HIV/AIDS. Furthermore, he spends time on daily operations at the office.
Kelly Adams, CHES – Outreach Educator Kelly has been with Alamance Cares since July 2017. She works to provide testing and outreach in the community and here at the office. She has a Bachelor of Science in Public Health from UNC Greensboro and is a Certified Community Health Education Specialist (CHES).
Julie Willis, MSW, LCSW – HIV Medical Case Manager Julie has been with Alamance Cares and HomeCare Providers since 2004.  While Julie spends most of her time working directly with people living with HIV/AIDS in Alamance, Rockingham and Caswell Counties, she is one of Alamance Cares’ certified HIV testers and also participates in outreach activities.
Davion Mayfeild-Pearson-Outreach Educator Davion began with Alamance Cares in November 2017. He is trained and certified in Phlebotomy and performs blood draws in the community and in office. He is currently studying to be a nurse.
